The hosts have already clinched the five-match series against India 3-0 following their three-wicket win in the third test in Melbourne. Mohammed Shami’s hamstring injury ahead of the series was a major blow for India, and in his absence, even through Barinder Sran has impressed, the likes of Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have failed to live upto their reputation.

Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who was dropped from the last match, was again ignored by captain MS Dhoni and the team management.

Nathan Lyon and David Warner are back. Nathan Lyon also came back. It looks a good wicket, and it will slow up a bit later in the game. Glenn Maxwell proved himself capable of playing a responsible innings in the 3rd ODI at MCG with a match-winning 96.

On the batting front, India have looked solid in all the three ODIs at top of the order. There are still two more games to play, and it’s always a learning curve. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be disappointed, and playing back-to-back matches will be hard, but they have consistently done that.

Australia opted to bat against India.

David Warner is likely to return for the fourth ODI, which means Marsh might have to miss out despite looking good in the chances he has got.

Conditions: It is cloudy in Canberra, but it is expected to be a warm day. India lost the first ODI by five wickets, second by seven wickets and third by three wickets.
