Warriors 1/1 to win NBA Championship after reaching 23 straight wins
Golden State scored a whopping 79 points in the first half – the most by any team in any half this National Basketball Association season – and led 111-83 at the end of the third quarter. The Golden State Warriors have won 13 straight regular season road games. Up until now, the record for consecutive wins – one of the most hallowed records in the sport – is held by the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers, who won 33 games in a row behind Hall of Famers Jerry West and Wilt Chamberlain that season. Among them was former Warrior David Lee, who tallied 12 points and six rebounds in 18 minutes after missing the previous two games with a bruised right heel.

Thompson’s injury came on the heels of his best performance of the year, as he scored a team and season-high 39 points in the victory with 10 three-pointers.
Warriors interim coach Luke Walton has noticed some not-so-subtle changes around the league. While the Warriors cannot possibly catch up to the Globetrotters’ 3,589-game win streak, if they can remain undefeated before the huge NBA Finals rematch against Cleveland on December 25, that will be an insanely fantastic accomplishment. In the first four games, Thompson was averaging over 20 points and dropping four threes per game. “And I said listen, if we let our guard down, we’re going to be part of this fairy tale”. “A bunch of guys having fun, shooting threes, dunking, everybody’s passing, behind the back passes”.
“Ask anybody on the team, I said very few words here my first year”, Thompson says. He expected it to be bruised and sore for several days but did not expect to miss extended time.
“Tonight, I was very selective with my shots”, Thompson said. I mean, for Curry to be shooting 46 percent from three is a joke for how tough some of his shots are, and just tells you how great of a shooter he is and how good he is with the ball, because his are all challenged.
-I wouldn’t put it past the Warriors to get to 33 officially (29 + 4 from last season) and perk up their ears at claims that this isn’t a true record and just blow past 33-0 this season, too. “‘I felt like I was due for a game like that”. Westbrook’s seven field goal attempts were his lowest this season, he made five of them, and there are not many players in the league capable of dominating a game without scoring. They finished 52 of 95 (54.7 per cent), including 16 of 36 from three-point range.
“He had eight 3’s at the half”, Curry said. Whether you rate one of the most reliable and unstoppable scorers the National Basketball Association has seen or a triple double machine, it’s often a matter of personal preference. When he has that look, he is going to have his confidence all night. “If you try to take stuff away, there’s always a counter, always another way to get a shot”. The Celtics are shooting 38.3 percent from deep in their last five games and have topped 100 points in six of their last seven games.
Boiling it down, then, you could say the Pacers are still broth, while the Warriors are full-on gumbo.

The Warriors’ top players don’t mind extra attention AT ALL; they love that they’re the top attraction in sports right now, they love that every team is gunning for them, every arena is sold out because of them.
