Golden State scored a whopping 79 points in the first half – the most by any team in any half this National Basketball Association season – and led 111-83 at the end of the third quarter. The Golden State Warriors have won 13 straight regular season road games. Up until now, the record for consecutive wins – one of the most hallowed records in the sport – is held by the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers, who won 33 games in a row behind Hall of Famers Jerry West and Wilt Chamberlain that season. Among them was former Warrior David Lee, who tallied 12 points and six rebounds in 18 minutes after missing the previous two games with a bruised right heel.

Thompson’s injury came on the heels of his best performance of the year, as he scored a team and season-high 39 points in the victory with 10 three-pointers.
Warriors interim coach Luke Walton has noticed some not-so-subtle changes around the league. While the Warriors cannot possibly catch up to the Globetrotters’ 3,589-game win streak, if they can remain undefeated before the huge NBA Finals rematch against Cleveland on December 25, that will be an insanely fantastic accomplishment.
