Warriors 24-game winning streak ends with loss to Bucks
Golden State guard Klay Thompson will return to the lineup with the Warriors putting their ideal record on the line against the Milwaukee Bucks.

They’re not used to losing. “That’s why it is so hard to do what these guys have done so far”. Tonight it caught up to us. His two free throws with 17.8 seconds left gave Golden State a 120-117 lead.
But showing a toughness and maturity beyond what you’d expect from such a young team, the Celtics eventually came to life, built a third-quarter lead, then fended off Charlotte’s late-game surge to emerge with a gritty 98-93 triumph at Time Warner Cable Arena.
Other than that, one of the records that could be broken would be the 33-0 record held by the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers.
“Well, we knew the streak had to end at some point”, the Warriors posted on their Twitter account.
Leading the way for Milwaukee’s scoring was the double-double machine, Greg Monroe, who had 28.
“When you talk about the streak, what’s bigger than the streak is they’re the world champs”, coach Jason Kidd said. “It’s always a playoff atmosphere because they all want to beat us”.
The 24-0 Warriors did not have a shootaround Saturday after winning in double overtime over the Celtics on Friday. After averaging 6.6 points on 37.3 percent shooting in November, he has scored at least 21 points in three of his five games this month while hitting on 57.1 percent of his shots. While the Warriors were shooting 36.8 percent, the Bucks – one of the sorriest offensive teams in the league – were closing it out at 63.2 percent.
The Bucks had an answer each time. Here are five of the more interesting ones worth monitoring as we come to the holidays.
“Exhausting, but it was fun”, Curry said.
Giddy Bucks fans at the packed Bradley Center erupted with cheers after the final buzzer. Ersan Ilyasova had 20 points, Marcus Morris supplied 16 and reserve Stanley Johnson added 11 for the Pistons, who have won six of their last eight games. We were a little slow on our defensive rotations.
Draymond Green had 24 points and 11 rebounds for the Warriors.
Thompson missed Friday’s game in Boston after spraining his right ankle on Tuesday against Indiana.
The Warriors trailed 59-48 at halftime after shooting 2 of 13 from 3-point range.
“It starts with our defense”, Kidd said.
“No”, he said. “Not even a good one”. Of course, with Al Jefferson out with a calf injury (and also suspended for violating the league’s substance abuse policy), there’s a lot of film that doesn’t exactly mean much for tonight’s game. The roaring, sellout crowd at TD Garden had hoped to see the young and ever-improving Celtics end the streak and hand the Warriors their first blemish.
Warriors: C Andrew Bogut, who was drafted first overall by the Bucks in 2005, finished with two points. After Golden State’s try at an alley-oop off the inbounds pass failed, Boston had the ball with 0.7 seconds left, but Kelly Olynyk’s off-balance jumper was wide.

“He can score in so many different ways”, interim coach Luke Walton said.
