Warriors’ Andrew Bogut has concussion

After Tuesday night’s 111-95 season-opening loss at Oracle Arena to the defending champion Golden State Warriors, the Pelicans (0-1) were doing their best to shake off the frustration.

Curry erupted for 40 points on 14-for-26 shooting from the field with five three-pointers, and also tallied seven assists, six rebounds and two steals for the Warriors, who were in control since the opening period. This was Curry’s 10th career 40-point outing.

OAKLAND, Calif._Stephen Curry served as the master of ceremonies as the Golden State Warriors unfurled a championship banner and accepted gaudy rings in front of the team’s roaring fans.

Another element to the Warriors win was rotating defenders on Davis, which held New Orleans’ star to 18 points and six boards, both figures much lower than last year’s average of 24 points per game and 10 boards. “It took a while for them to actually get it and it’s going to take a while for us to pick things up, but we know what’s coming and we’re not going to make excuses because everybody’s hurt”.

It might have been dismissed as an unfortunate on-court accident, but the Warriors did have issues with Cunningham last season during a regular-season game in December when Harrison Barnes and Draymond Green were struck in the face in separate second-quarter incidents.

Though Curry’s pace cooled from there, he was spellbinding as he scythed through the New Orleans defense, whipping passes and finding cracks, hoisting threes and celebrating before the ball found the net. He became the first reigning Most Valuable Player to score 40-plus points in the opener since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar had 41 in 1972.

“This is an unbelievable day”, said Stephen Curry.

U.S. president Barack Obama was seen sitting at courtside to watch his favourite team go against the best basketball player on the planet.

Davis scored a team-high 18 points for New Orleans, but was only 4 out of 20 from the field after being swarmed by Warriors’ underrated defence. Add in the Rockets have revenge on their mind from last year’s playoffs and the Warriors lost their big man, and I like Houston in this toss-up game.

Curry was named league MVP last season, due to stellar statistics like 23.8 points per game, 7.7 assists, and a.44% three-point completions.

“Great center”, Ezeli said. Warriors assistant head coach Luke Walton led the Warriors in place of Kerr. Barnes then missed his initial seven shots and wound up 3 of 12 for eight points…. The season was concluded with Warriors besting all of the other teams and with Curry being declared as the season’s MVP.
