Warriors beat Thunder, force Game 6

Steph Curry played like Grandpa Walton Tuesday night while Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant played like John Boy and the result was the Oklahoma City Thunder taking a 3-1 lead over the Golden State Warriors. In fact, he was the second on the list for most triple-doubles this season with 13 and only trailed Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook, who had 18. It is an unprecedented run: The Thunder have now won 6 out 7 games against the Spurs and Warriors – Two teams that had historic records and point differentials during the regular season.

Oklahoma City stole Game 1 on the Warriors’ raucous home floor in Oracle Arena, where Golden State has lost just three times all season.

“The series isn’t over”, said Curry following the Golden State Warriors’ disappointing 118-94 loss.

A win for the Warriors on Thursday will at least extend the series to a Game 6, but the defending champions must win all three of the remaining fixtures if they are to secure a place in the final. “So take care of business at home, and we’ll have one more swing down there and, like I said, see what happens”.

PUSH. Andre Iguodala has scored 8.5 points per game over the last two games and he is averaging 9.25 points per game in this series. “Right now we’ve got to win tonight”.

“Boges was phenomenal”, Kerr told reporters about his performance in the Warriors’ 120-111 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

“He’s one of those guys that is always asking for advice or input on how he can be better”, Durant said. Earlier in the day, the NBA announced that Westbrook and Warriors PG Stephen Curry made the All-NBA first team. “I’m fine”, Curry said after Thursday’s shootaround. He hopes Curry is at his best in Game 5. I know this team knows how to play tough. That spreading of the basketball has proven to be a successful one for the Thunder, but can they keep it up here in Oakland?

On the court, however, the fun-loving Warriors of the regular season appear to have been transformed into a struggling unit, devoid of form or fluidity against a highly motivated opponent.

The Thunder led 30-26 at the end of the first quarter, then gained control in the second.

Rather than being bummed out that the Blazers nail-biters against the Warriors do not look as impressive – Just enjoy the historic run the Thunder are on. The Golden State Warriors also went on to question the authenticity of these claims and noted that the information appears to have come from the media themselves.
