Warriors’ Draymond Green apologizes for halftime outburst
The chief explanation as to why Golden State couldn’t dominate the Oklahoma City Thunder the way they had earlier in the month was the abysmal offensive performance of Draymond Green.

“I made a mistake”, Green said. As a human being I made a mistake and, like I said before, I apologize to my teammates, to everybody who I need to apologize to.
Green’s outburst was reported immediately by ABC sideline reporter Lisa Salters during Saturday night’s game, and various reports have surfaced since, most notably a blow-by-blow account of the forward’s actions relayed by ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith on “First Take” Monday morning. “I know I can play, you have me messed up right now. If you don’t want me to shoot, I won’t shoot the rest of the game”, Salters quoted the person as ranting in the locker room. “That’s not who I’ve been and that’s not who I will become”. “There’s 24-hour sports talk shows on the radio, on TV, and we’re in the spotlight because of our record”.
That’s right the GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS! “So it doesn’t bother us that everyone’s talking about it. We know, handled it internally, and we all love each other and we’re all good”, he said.
Curry said Saturday’s incident wasn’t the first time something like this has happened, but “we came out still united”.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr brushed off the tirade, saying: “We don’t care”.
“You guys all know how emotional [Green] is”, Kerr said. “Nothing major happened, obviously, we came out and played great in the second half”. We won the championship a year ago, what’s our record now, 53-5? I think we’re doing OK. They said that the success of the team and its star player, Stephen Curry, is largely due to the present style of play, which is less physical compared to their days. Sometimes, emotion, that’s human, I’m not ideal, nobody on this Earth is flawless. He leads the National Basketball Association with 11 triple-doubles.

“At times it bubbles over but for anybody to say, ‘Oh no, we should look out, what’s coming next?’ Come on”. Despite being held without a field goal in the game (0-of-8 shooting), Green still posted a tremendous stat line: 14 rebounds, 14 assists, six steals, and four blocks.
