Warriors’ Draymond Green happy to resolve legal issue
Green, slated to play for the U.S. at the Rio Olympics, will be fined $500 and pay $60 in restitution to Jermaine Edmondson, who police said was slapped by Green at a restaurant on July 10.

Lawyers say former Michigan State basketball star and current Olympic team member Draymond Green will pay $560 for a noise violation in a deal that gets an assault charge against him dropped.
Green can’t contact Edmonson for a year under the deal, and if he is convicted of a new criminal charge during that year, the assault charge will be reinstated, said David Meyers, an assistant city prosecutor for East Lansing.
Meyers said Green didn’t get special treatment because of his celebrity status.
While jail time was a reported option, it may have never been a realistic outcome for Green’s involvement in the minor fight. “We simply treated Mr”. Police say they witnessed the incident. Heos said Green was defending himself.
Edmondson was released from the school on 13 July.
Green is now preparing to play for Team USA in the Rio Olympics so it’s a good thing that this issue was taken care of before the games.
Edmondson is no longer part of Michigan State’s football program. He was suspended for game 5 of the NBA Finals for kicking LeBron James during game 4.
