Warriors extend run to 11, 48-4 at break
This season, in so many games, the Rockets are either good in the final quarter or two in order to pull out the win. Golden State have gone 3-0 versus Houston to sweep the Rockets in consecutive seasons for the first time.

Stephen Curry turned on the style as the Golden State Warriors overcame a courageous Houston Rockets fightback to triumph 123-110 and stretch their winning streak to 10 games on Tuesday.
“I’m really proud of him”, Warriors center Andrew Bogut said of Barnes, who had two points on 1-for-4 shooting through three quarters.
Monroe, who was removed from the starting lineup, had 29 points and 12 rebounds as the Bucks ended a five-game losing streak.
Curry has been hot for the Warriors, averaging 34.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 2.6 steals, and 6.2 three-pointers over the past five games.
The Rockets had fought back after a disastrous first quarter which saw the Warriors jump out to a 38-22 lead after only 11 minutes.
Despite finishing the regular season with a franchise record 67 wins and 15 losses, people were still skeptical of the Warriors and, more specifically, Steph Curry, due matchups in the playoffs.
Many have mentioned both Harrison Barnes and Andre Iguodala as players that the Warriors would possibly have to cut to free up cap space if they wanted to pursue Durant this offseason. “The surge from the bench to start the fourth quarter gave us the separation we needed”, Kerr said.
Beal amassed 26 points while Wall weighed in with 28 points, 15 of them coming in an important fourth-quarter cameo.
The Warriors will play the Portland Trail Blazers in their return from the All-Star break on February 19. Thompson’s 10 points on 5-of-8 shooting would have been spectacular if it hadn’t been for Curry’s 19 points on 7-of-8 shooting.
Rookie Kristaps Porzingis scored 20 points, but just two after his 14-point third quarter.
“There was one game, November, December game where they turned it over an absurd amount of times, and he went into the locker room and let them have it and he knew that time was right”. He didn’t feel well following the Warriors’ win against the Houston Rockets the previous night at Oracle Arena, explaining he was dealing with a headache and he appeared uncomfortable during Tuesday’s brief postgame news conference.
Curry made his first six shots, including five three-pointers.
Dennis Schroder had 18 points to guide Atlanta Hawks to a 113-90 win over Chicago Bulls and 35 points and 11 rebounds from Karl-Anthony Towns saw Minnesota Timberwolves beat Toronto Raptors 117-112.
On pace for one of the greatest seasons in National Basketball Association history, the Golden State Warriors approach the All-Star break as favorites to repeat as champs.

Chandler Parsons led Dallas with 24 points but missed an open 3-pointer for the lead with 24 seconds left in the Mavericks’ second straight overtime game and NBA-high eighth of the season. The Warriors will play 17 of their final 24 at home beginning March 1. The double-figure rebounding game was the third in a row for Rockets C Dwight Howard, whose double-double was his 23rd of the season.
