Draymond Green puts up a shot against the Milwaukee Bucks.

The phrase “at commissioner’s discretion” is obviously vague, but at this point there is no need for Green to press his luck. They haven’t yet proven that they can adjust to life without Draymond for a game, but with a 3-1 series lead and things shifting back to Oakland (where Cleveland hasn’t won a game since Game 2 of last year’s NBA Finals), they are still firmly in the driver’s seat. Green needs to just adhere to the rules and stay out of sight during the pivotal contest. I mean, that’s what the league highlighted as their official reason, but by and large I imagine that Green’s suspension was the culmination of several questionably violent incidents he’s been a part of these playoffs.

“We’ve got to adjust and next man up”.

Draymond Green has only missed one game this entire season and the Warriors lost that one by two points to the 33-49 Denver Nuggets. So we hope to have a great night, take care of the details of the game.

“I told the guys when we left – we have to come back to Cleveland anyways, so why not come back and play a game”. To think that Green has been suspended just for this play is wrong.

Golden State still leads the series 3-2.

James Michael McAdoo was in the first-quarter rotation, after not playing a single second in any of Golden State’s last 12 games. “So whether he starts or not, he’s still going to play huge minutes”. What is clear is Cleveland desperately needs more production from All-Star forward Kevin Love, who perhaps not so coincidentally has been matched up against Green for most of the series. The tables on that scenario might flip – there could be a motivated Warriors team making an early push in Game 5. Bosh was often called the Heat’s “most important player” because he allowed the James-Wade tandem to work on the offensive end with his ability to space the floor with his jumper. You couldn’t ask for a better way for this to play out for the fans of every team except the Warriors.

“I think we all know what’s crossing the line no matter if you’re playing basketball or if you’re playing video games or we’re playing catch or you’re double-dutching it”, James said.

Ironically, Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue was the victim of the most infamous stepover of the previous NBA generation, courtesy of the 76ers’ Allen Iverson in the 2001 NBA Finals. Green was assessed of a flagrant foul 1 after the National Basketball Association reviewed the act.
