Warriors’ Green escapes ban, fined for flagrant foul 2

Had they suspended Green like they did Dahntay Jones of the Cleveland Cavaliers, then they would have been accused of ruining the integrity of the series and pushing Oklahoma City forward. “I mean, if anybody, it’s trying to get into K.D”. That don’t make sense.

Green said Adams knocked him one way, which caused his body to rock the other, and raised his leg up. He also wasn’t buying the unintentional explanation from Green and Kerr.

The Warriors power forward had words for Thunder center Steven Adams after making a three-pointer and again after inadvertently striking him in the groin, prompting Adams to say that Green had “peaked with annoyingness”. But there’s a nugget of truth in there, a nugget that will fuel the debate around Game 4 sanction: “I don’t know how anyone could possibly say that I did that on objective, regardless of the way it may look”.

Adams, an emerging star for the Thunder, took some hits in Game 2 and had to leave the game briefly. I think it matters to him a lot to have an impact on the game.

Green’s foul was also upgraded to a Flagrant Foul 2, but he’ll still be available to play in Game 4.

During the play late in the second quarter, Green drove inside against Adams but had the ball stripped away.

“Whether he believes me or not, which I don’t think he will and wouldn’t in the moment, which is why I didn’t say anything”. When you go up for a shot and a guy’s challenging, that happens all the time. This stuff happens all the time.

“Russell Westbrook kicked me at the end of the half, ” Green said. “I was just bad”.

Green and Adams first clashed last Wednesday night during the NBA Western Conference finals basketball game in Oakland, days after Adams controversially referred to the Warriors as “little monkeys”.

After Adams fouled Green on a drive to the basket, Green’s right leg swung and hit Adams directly between the legs – “straight to the jewels”, said Adams, who immediately went down on his knees and elbows in agonizing pain.

The Thunder responded by handing the Warriors one of their worst losses of the season and worst playoff loss since 2014. After a three-day break, Oklahoma City stomped the Warriors 133-105 and would likely see more of Maurice Speights and Andrew Bogut if Green gets benched by the National Basketball Association rules overlords.

But they did land a hard right kick. But I don’t even think I should’ve got a flagrant. When Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook are playing well, they are very tough to beat. “He’s one of the premier players in the league, on arguably one of the best teams in the history of the game”. Instead, the Thunder outscored the Warriors 85-65 from that point on and Adams’ reputation as a game-changer continued to grow.
