Warriors’ Green escapes ban, is fined for flagrant foul 2
Draymond Green kicked Steven Adams between the legs in Game 3. “He’s Draymond Green. They’re not going to suspend him”.

Green was initially hit with a flagrant 1 foul, but the league upgraded it to a flagrant 2.
Kiki VanDeWeghe, the NBA’s Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations, made the announcement Monday afternoon.
Green now has three flagrant foul points during the postseason. Westbrook straight up accused Green of intentionally kicking Adams, and Donavan didn’t speculate on his intent but questioned the fact that it’s happened in two straight games.
“From what I had it my mind, it kind of confirmed it nearly”, Adams said, adding that an apology from Green doesn’t matter.
The play, which by now has been seen probably more than Willie Mays’ catch, the lunar landing or any “Seinfeld” episode, occurred with 5:57 left in the half of Oklahoma City’s lopsided 133-105 Western Conference Finals win over the Warriors on Sunday at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
It must be noted that in both incidents, Draymond Green extended his knee and leg after a foul was called.
Oklahoma City outrebounded the Warriors in its Game 1 victory, but the Warriors won the battle of the boards in Game 2 and beat the Thunder 118-91. I always … Russell said I did it on goal, but he’s a part of the superstar group that started all this acting in the National Basketball Association, I think. “This stuff happens all the time”. The Warriors were outscored by 43 points when he was in the game. Green was adamant in the locker room after the game that he wouldn’t have done that on goal, and believed the flagrant ruling would ultimately be rescinded. There was an aggregated bunch of clips posted to social media showing Green’s legs going all sorts of directions after shots and drives, sometimes making contact and sometimes not.
No Draymond, there is no argument, your a dirty player and you know it.
Green even pointed to a play at the end of the second quarter, when Green fouled Westbrook on a long 3-pointer.
If Green is suspended, the Warriors could find themselves in real trouble.
“I know my (abdominal) core’s not strong enough to stop my leg halfway from wherever it was going”. “I was just bad”. This move by Steve Kerr is natural for any head coach to protect his player but condoning unwarranted and uncalled plays on the floor and turning a blind eye on it is not good for any sports. “Everything else is pretty irrelevant to me”.

Green, who is also writing a diary on the playoffs for The Undefeated, told writer Marc J. Spears that he wanted to apologize to Adams during the game. That’s two times in the last two games.
