Warriors Guard Stephen Curry Hopeful for Game 4 Appearance
James Harden drained the game victor on a turnaround jumper with two seconds left as the Houston Rockets clipped the Stephen Curry-less Golden State Warriors 97-96 in a first-round National Basketball Association playoff contest. Curry will participate in a 5-on-5 scrimmage on Saturday and how he feels after that will be important in deciding if he can return in Game 4.

“I will not be going to any suit store”, said Curry, when asked if he’d buy a suit in case he doesn’t play Sunday.
“He didn’t have any pain this morning or after the workout”, Kerr said. The Blue Devils also announced forward Amile Jefferson, who played only nine games last season after breaking his right foot in December, was granted a medical hardship waiver, clearing him to play for Duke next season…
“I didn’t like the way he was moving when he went back out in the third quarter”, Kerr said (via ESPN) of Curry’s attempt to go back into Monday’s game after suffering the injury. The Spurs swept the Grizzlies in 2004 and ’13 – Memphis did win a six-game series in ’11 – and the seven straight playoff wins have come by a 98.7-82.9 margin with Memphis shooting 37.9 percent (see full story). Earlier in the week Curry said he was ready to play in Game 2, but ended up sitting out both that game and the next one.
It’s not pain. It’s like soreness that comes along with all that my ankle’s been through.
So would Curry be surprised to miss Game 4? It still seems unlikely that Curry doesn’t play on Sunday, though.
The Golden State Warriors needed the fully recovered Stephen Curry not only with the game against the Rockets but for the succeeding games where they might face a tougher opponent.
Golden State attacked Harden and kept their hands and arms out of his air space to minimize the foul calls he receives driving to the basket. The Warriors lost the latter and lead the series 2-1. They need to get this series over with as soon as possible in an effort to get Curry as much rest and practice time as possible. The Rockets win and take game three.

“Obviously, if I’m playing I’ll be aggressive, I’ll do exactly what I usually do when I’m out there on the floor, whether I make or miss shots”.
