Warriors improve to 16-0
Having downed the Los Angeles Lakers 111-77 Tuesday night at Oracle Arena to improve to 16-0 and set a new record for best regular season start in the NBA’s 70-year history, the next-best record in their sights is the 1971-72 Lakers’ 33-game winning streak.

While Golden State is led by a young core of players, the Lakers keep letting Kobe Bryant shoot nearly 16 times a game, missing shot after shot from mid-range and deep, hoping that things will get better before they get worse.
Curry had nine assists in three quarters without committing a turnover, and Draymond Green added 18 points as the win came easily against the Lakers, who have the worst record in the Western Conference.
The Lakers (2-12), a storied franchise that is in full rebuilding mode, was led by starting power forward Julius Randle and reserves Lou Williams and Larry Nance, Jr., each of whom scored 10 points.
“The challenge for them is going to be conflict”, he said. “We’re on a roll”. “I think his role is pretty defined for us right now”.
A 16-0 start has been the pinnacle for teams in the National Basketball Association at the start of the season.
They’ve done this so far without their coach, Steve Kerr, who hasn’t been on the sideline for a single game this season due to complications after two summer back surgeries.
“Eventually, we will lose”, Warriors interim coach Luke Walton said.
But the 37-year-old Bryant is shooting only 31.1 percent from the field and 19.5 percent from three-point range.
“Obviously he’s struggling right now with his shot, and I think everybody can see that”, Scott said.
“We’re proud of this moment”. Per ESPN, they now lead the league in scoring (114.3), field goal shooting (49%), and point differential (+15.6, which is 6.4 more than the second-ranked).
“We’re going to approach it like it is, but that doesn’t mean it is”, Buss said of Bryant.
“A lot of players have played in this league, a lot of great teams and nobody has accomplished what this team has tonight”.
Jimmy Butler scored 22 points as the Chicago Bulls held off a spirited second-half fightback by the Portland Trail Blazers to win 93-88.
In the meantime, Scott is not planning on changing his game plan with Bryant.

Oh, it’s probably worth noting that the Clippers beat the Lakers by 34 points to break the NBA’s record for most consecutive wins to start a season.
