Warriors improve to 22-0 as Nets offer little resistance

The Warriors’ superb start to the campaign has obscured some other strong early-season form by the likes of San Antonio, which improved to 17-4 with a similarly tight win against Boston. It was their 21st successive National Basketball Association (NBA) victory to start the season. Jamal Crawford scored 16 of his 32 points in the fourth quarter, while Blake Griffin had 28 points and 13 rebounds as Los Angeles won in the absence of injured guards Chris Paul and J.J. Redick.

“It seems like he gets 40 points quietly”, Thompson said of Curry.

But it was the first time in his career that he had accomplished the feat in consecutive games. Those two players finished with 17 points each for the Hornets, who played their first road game in 18 days.

With one of his electrifying flurries, Stephen Curry changed things in a hurry. The three-point margin matched the smallest of the season for the Warriors, who won 106-103 at Utah on Monday.

“I have great memories of being here watching my dad play”.

“We expect teams to fight and come back when we are on the road and that is what they did”, said Curry. “It’s a familiar setting”.

Guard Lowry led the Raptors with 41 points and seven assists in front of a crowd of 20,100 at the Air Canada Centre.

“We didn’t close the quarter very well”, head coach Lionel Hollins said. “Every night is a new battle”, Curry, who was supported by Klay Thompson (26 points) and Draymond Green (16), told reporters.ABOUT THE NETS (5-14): Brooklyn had a rough Friday night in Madison Square Garden and then failed to get through Saturday’s practice without more bad news, as standout rookie Rondae Hollis-Jefferson suffered a sprained ankle that has him questionable for this one.

“Yeah, I do think about it, because I thought we should have beaten them out there”, Hollins said before Sunday night’s 114-98 loss.

“We might not play our best game, but we find a way to win”. On the next possession, he gave the Warriors the lead for good with an uncontested 3-pointer and finished the quarter by finding Ezeli for an alley-oop dunk before converting a 3-point play and knocking down a 3-pointer with 1.9 seconds left.

When the Warriors defeated the Toronto Raptors 112-109 Saturday night, point guard Stephen Curry added the next chapter into his stellar game log in Toronto.

DeMar DeRozan made one of two free throws to cut the lead to one.

“He made some tough shots”. Warriors lead 59-49. “Teams are coming out aggressive and we aren’t matching their intensity”, point guard Kyle Lowry told reporters.

The Warriors held a slim 79-78 lead with 1:25 to go in the third quarter but Golden State unleashed an 8-0 blast entering the final period.

Curry made both his free throws and Toronto turned over the ball with 3.3 seconds to play.
