Warriors look to close out Cavs without emotional star Green
The NBA Finals will continue with Game 5 on Monday night at Oracle Arena, where the Warriors can become the seventh franchise to win consecutive titles with a victory.

He ruled Green made unnecessary contact with James with a retaliatory swipe of his hand to the groin.
Green, who kicked Oklahoma City’s Steven Adams in the groin during the Western Conference finals, would be suspended for Game 5 if the league retroactively assesses a flagrant-1 foul. He wanted the league to review the play with Green and determine whether he should be suspended for Game 5. But when it get a little more than it should be then that’s what causes me to have words with him.
Having been beaten for the title by the San Antonio Spurs in 2014 and overpowered by the Warriors a year ago, another Finals failure would drop James to a career 2-5 record in NBA Championship series. “They’ll take a look at it”, James told reporters. “I don’t care who you are, I’m not going to back down from you”.
James stepped over Green as the two got up – a move widely viewed as a show of disrespect in league circles. “I thought he took some tough ones”, Kerr said. We’ve all been called plenty of bad words on the basketball court before.
James has been assessed a technical foul upon league office review for his role in the altercation, which included a physical taunt.
Through all of the criticism and accusations of dirty play, Draymond Green vowed to keep pushing as hard as he possibly could to help deliver another championship to Golden State.
“I’m not going to comment on what Klay said, because I know where it can go from this”, James said. I mean, he’s energy, effort, consistently, got the total package.
Golden State leads the series 3-1 and has easily been the better team in this series.
“I’m all cool with the competition, but some of the words that came out of his mouth were a little bit overboard”.
That’s why it wasn’t a huge surprise to see Green get into it with LeBron James in Game 4, possibly calling LeBron a derogatory term for a female dog. I know what position I’m in, in terms of double techs and stuff. “He’s going to support us as a team the best way he can, even though he’s not going to be on the floor, and we have to go out and get a win for him”.
I could see the National Basketball Association deciding enough is enough – or splitting the difference and giving both James and Draymond some form of punishment after this review. “There’s many routes you could take”.
“Nah, it’s obviously a highly-touted award, deservedly so, the guy who steps up in the biggest moment, as long as it’s somebody from our team, it means we won, it’ll be alright”, Curry had said.
Andrew Bogut and the bench remained despite calls to shorten the rotation, and the measure paid off in the third quarter when Bogut free Curry in the corner with a bone crushing screen for a three-pointer, and then a block on the other end that led to a Thompson transition three. “Sometimes players, your actions or emotions get the best of you”.
“The cumulative points system is created to deter flagrant fouls in our game”, said VanDeWeghe. Without Green, the Warriors would be having difficulties in beating the Cavs.

He too has had incidents that came about because of the emotional edge that he plays with, being taken a step or two too far.
