The 2-11 Los Angeles Lakers face an incredibly tall task in trying to slow down, much less stop, the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night – especially with the Warriors looking to improve to 16-0, setting an National Basketball Association record for the best start to a season.

Thompson’s main aim is to win another title but breaking records along with the way would make the season even sweeter.
Legendary coach Red Auerbach’s Washington Capitols opened the 1948-49 season with 15 victories and so did the great centre Hakeem Olajuwon’s 1993-94 Houston Rockets, but that’s where both teams’ streaks ended. Stephen Curry is playing at a ridiculous level, and Golden State’s small-ball lineup in particular has destroyed everything in its path. “That’s what we’re fueled by”.

Despite the seemingly impossible task facing the Lakers, Bryant said a huge upset was a possibility.
“We want to get to 16 and counting and see how long we can keep this thing going”, said Curry via CSN Bay Area. And we might not have seen the best yet.
“We’ve had a pretty good run with injuries, guys not missing games and touch wood it doesn’t happen, but I’m sure we’ll get to a point where we are resting guys at certain points in the season and they are games that could go either way”.
Meanwhile, Kobe Bryant struggled mightily for the Lakers, as he shot just 1-of-14 and scored 4 points. The Lakers are now at the bottom of the Western Conference with only two wins in their 13 games this season. It is their third straight defeat after winning their second game of the season.
On the other side of the coin, the Lakers have a young squad and a veteran who claims that beating the Warriors isn’t as surprising as some might think.
