Warriors outlast Jazz in tough win, move to 19-0
Forward Brandon Rush drained three three-pointers in the third-quarter, and Curry finished with three three-pointers on the night, as the Warriors kept their flawless start to the season intact and equaled the 2007-08 Houston Rockets with a 22nd consecutive regular-season win dating back to last season. While the Warriors have taken care of a few of the NBA’s best, we still haven’t seen them go up against the likes of the Cavaliers, Spurs or Thunder, whom at this point are some of the league’s best teams alongside Golden State.

A week or so ago, I asked Snyder that exact question: What he would do, which player he would call on, were the Jazz down one point with 15 seconds left in a game.
With the game tied 101-101 with 51 seconds left, Curry hit a 3-pointer from the left wing to give the Warriors the lead. The Warriors are now a flawless 19-0 on the season and showed our young club what it takes to win tough games.
The Warriors appeared to dominate for the majority of the game despite Phoenix having six players in double figures. With two traditional bigs it will also be hard for Hayward, the team’s best perimeter offensive option, to get space to operate when attacking the basket. Monday was the first of a seven-game road trip…. Well, I think the numbers speak for themselves. They’ve got 60 games left to play.
Green and Klay Thompson both poured in 20 points, and Ian Clark provided some punch off the bench with 12 points on four three-pointers to help make up for the absence of Harrison Barnes.
“We knew this was going to be one of the toughest challenges for us”, Warriors interim coach Luke Walton said.
“They’re the best team in the National Basketball Association and we played them down to the wire”, Favors said. The Chicago Bulls have 10 wins and they are in ahead of the Detroit Pistons and the Milwaukee Bucks. The Southwest division has the Miami Heat leading at 10-6 now, while the Hawks are 12-8 ahead of the Hornets. The Jazz committed only eight turnovers, and, consequently, the Warriors weren’t able to get out in transition as much as they usually do-they managed only five fast-break points all night.
The Warriors (-365) are eight point road favorites tonight in Utah (+305). BetOnline lists the over/under at 201.5 total points, which is the second smallest total point line for the Dubs this season. They go even bigger with a three-wing lineup instead of a point guard for stretches.
A pair of Favors free throws tied the game at 101. The Jazz are 0-6 when allowing 100 points. He finished with 25 points, while Al Horford added 21 points and 13 rebounds.
If these two teams meet in the playoffs as a 1 vs. 8 matchup, the Warriors would surely win but it’d be a fantastic series. Strangely, this game marked the first time this year that the Jazz played two straight games at home.

Sunday, Dec. 6 at Brooklyn (4-13): Brook Lopez’s baby jumper at the end of regulation on November 14 is still the closest anyone has come to beating Golden State, who held on to win 107-99 in overtime despite not playing their sharpest game.
