Warriors record streak ends with loss to Bucks
Center Greg Monroe tallied 28 points and 11 rebounds for the Bucks, who looked surprisingly fresh after losing 90-83 in Toronto on Friday.

The Golden State Warriors saw their record 24-game winning streak to start the season come to an end Saturday night in Milwaukee as they fell to the Bucks 108-95.
Though Stephen Curry matched his total, the Warriors came up short in the last of a seven-game road trip and on the back of Friday’s double-overtime win over the Boston Celtics. The loss was the Warriors first in 28 games, as they won their last four regular season games last season. The Bucks have a history of snapping streaks, they also spoiled several other runs by teams on a winning streak.
The Golden State Warriors needed two overtimes to remain flawless on a very imperfect night from the NBA’s reigning Most Valuable Player.
Now the Warriors did make several runs to stay in the game and gave you the thought they were getting ready to soar past the Bucks, but every time Milwaukee answered back as they had more energy than Golden State did from the tip.
“The earlier the better, but 5 o’clock on a Saturday in particular, a later afternoon start is still a very good thing for our business and we’ve seen more engagement on those Saturday games as well”, Brabants said. A Bucks cheering section proved prophetic after wearing green “24-1” shirts to the game.
And with that, the Warriors placed this game and their streaks into the file of history. “I think we beat ourselves, especially on my end”.
Golden State still has an absurd 14.1 point differential and leads the race for the league’s best record by four games; an incredibly large margin considering the Spurs have won 20 of their first 25 games.
“He’s our modern-day (Michael) Jordan, in the sense that when we were growing up, we all wanted to be like Mike”, Kidd said.
Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 11 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists for his first career triple-double, while Carter-Williams had 17 points off the bench. Golden State was a step slow all night, routinely falling behind cutters on defense. Their 23 percent shooting was their second worst on 3-pointers this season.
Kelly Olynyk scored 28 points for Boston, and Avery Bradley had 19 while guarding Curry much of the night.
Forward Draymond Green said he feels like a weight has been lifted off his shoulders now that the streak is over.
“Even if you’re 24-and-1, losing still sucks”.
The Warriors made it interesting in the third, as they cut the Bucks lead to one.

The Warriors shot just 40.9 percent from the field and only six-for-26 from beyond the arc. Bucks Gs Jerryd Bayless and Greivis Vasquez were out Saturday with ankle injuries.
