Warriors roll into second round of playoffs without Curry
When Thompson hit back-to-back 3-pointers midway through the third quarter Wednesday, pushing the Warriors’ lead to more than 30 points, Curry nearly broke out into the Bernie Lean as he did after his game-winner in Oklahoma City two months ago. “But I think it’ll be somewhere in that range hopefully”. We’re not losing much confidence. “If we can just do that and limit our turnovers and giving them extra opportunities, we’ll put ourselves in a really good position to win the game”.

Green added that he thinks it is possible for them to have a good run even without Curry for the next two weeks.
They are expected to get Curry back at some point in the next series, but it’s unknown when that will be.
On Monday, an MRI exam on Curry’s right knee revealed a Grade 1 sprain of the MCL. No mechanical or stability issues with the knee were discovered, and no surgery would be needed, according to Warriors general manager Bob Myers.
Curry suffered the injury in the second quarter of Sunday’s 121-94 Game 4 victory.
Draymond Green contributed 15 points and team highs in rebounds (nine) and assists (eight) to the win, which was Golden State’s 42nd in 44 home games this season. In this game the two Los Angeles Clippers stars, Blake Griffin and Chris Paul, sustained injuries that will leave them out for the duration of the playoffs.
And the Warriors may get a boost going into this one, with coach Steve Kerr being announced Tuesday as the league’s coach of the year for 2015-16. Ariza is a pest, but his help was late, their switches were a mess, and he was no match for the many ways the Warriors could get Thompson shots. This means that Curry will only get to know whether he can play or not two weeks for now, which indicates he might not be able to re-join the Warriors for the entire second round. And the way we play is a little bit different. “We’re gonna continue to play our game, continue to try to win basketball games no matter who’s out there”. Golden State scored 41 points in the third quarter to take control of Game 4.
Green went on to express his sympathy for the Clippers, who eliminated the Spurs a year ago in a hard fought, first-round playoff series that went seven games.
If you have the stomach for it, you can see Steph’s fall here.
“That’s going to be a long flight for them to come back to Houston”, Terry said.
“I believe in our team; I believe in our coaching staff”, Myers said.

CJ McCollum had 27 points, and Damian Lillard scored 16 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter as the Portland Trail Blazers earned a 108-98 victory over the short-handed Los Angeles Clippers to take a 3-2 lead in their Western Conference quarterfinal matchup Wednesday night at Staples Center.
