The Bucks also snapped the Warriors’ 28-game winning streak dating back to last season.

The Golden State Warriors finally saw their record-breaking start to the season come to an end last night as Stephen Curry’s 28 points were not enough to prevent the Milwaukee Bucks defeating the reigning champs, 108-95.
Draymond Green scored 24 points with 11 rebounds, eight assists and five blocked shots.
Stretching back to the end of last season, Golden State won 28 consecutive regular season games. In 1972, the Bucks ended the Los Angeles Lakers’ streak at 33 games.
Milwaukee center Greg Monroe had himself a game as he led the Bucks tonight with 28 points, 11 rebounds and five assists. But he was 6 for 13 from 3-point range and a ideal 14 of 14 from the free throw line, sinking a pair of foul shots with 13.4 seconds left to give the Warriors a three-point lead – his only points of the second overtime.
Giddy Bucks fans at the packed Bradley Center erupted with cheers after the final buzzer. It wasn’t what twenty-four teams couldn’t do but more about Golden State running out of gas on the final leg of their road trip. They didn’t shut us down. 24 straight wins is pretty awesome but the Warriors want more, they want another NBA Championship and that’s their only focus.
Chicago’s Aaron Brooks scored 15 points in the fourth quarter to rally the Bulls to a 98-94 victory over New Orleans. Had they beaten the Milwaukee Bucks, they would have secured the first 7-0 road trip in history. “And so, for us, we didn’t talk about the streak, it was about playing the world champs”. Curry got hounded by Avery Bradley most of the game, who hasn’t turned into the two way terror scouts thought he could but is still good for a few of the best defensive performances in a given year.
Interim coach Luke Walton – filling in for Steve Kerr, who is still recovering from complications after back surgery, added: “Losing still sucks, just as I remember as a player and I remember as an assistant coach, it’s never fun to lose”.
In New York, Blake Griffin and J.J. Redick each scored 21 points, and the Clippers ended a seven-game, two-state road losing streak against the Nets. “But for 48 minutes, I don’t think anybody can say we played as hard as they did”.
Abruptly halted A young and not entirely fully-formed team, the Bucks didn’t look like they had much chance of putting up a fight, let alone handing the Warriors their first loss of the season. The Cavaliers are making some headlines with their inconsistent play, but there would be a whole lot more criticism for Cleveland if it were not for the Warriors historic start that we are all privileged to witness. Atlanta (14-11) is still one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, but they need to get Teague back on track as the season heats up.
