Warriors’ Stephen Curry Out for Game 2 Against Rockets

Stephen Curry remains questionable, due to an ankle sprain, and Klay Thompson says he’s preparing as though Curry will not play.

Houston made a lineup switch, inserting Motiejunas into the starting lineup for Game 2.

Furthermore, if the Warriors can replace Stephen Curry, and still get the type of production we saw in Game 2, well, this series might be over in two more games.

The Houston Rockets are in a must-win situation in order to have any shot at winning this series. Two of the most exciting teams have been matched against each other in the first round as the Houston Rockets face the Golden State Warriors. “We just have to do it in a more meticulous way as far as moving the ball, being more patient”. Welcome to the actual Curry debate. An hour and 45 minutes before tipoff, Kerr told reporters that Curry would be a classic “game-time decision”.

“Well”, Kerr conceded, “That’s a good question”. At left is Rockets’ Dwight Howard. Golden State played short-handed down the stretch of the regular season on the way to a record 73 wins.

Curry’s uncertainty for game two stems from an instance during game one last Saturday, when he landed awkwardly after taking a shot late in the first quarter.

On three occasions in the first half, Harden drew a foul beyond the 3-point line and sent the fans into fits.

Kerr said earlier in the day that he and Curry had a long chat.

Draymond Green scores 12 points, grabs 14 rebounds and dishes 8 assists as the Warriors beat the Rockets 115-106. “They’re (at home) and they’ve won a lot of games here and we didn’t get a chance to steal one on this trip”.

“Every time we reached, we fouled him, and they were all fouls”, Kerr said.

“Ahh, it’s so much easier without him out there”, Thompson said.

“He just tried to push off on it”, Kerr said.

The Houston Rockets guard, who led the National Basketball Association in free-throw attempts and makes this season, found himself back in a familiar spot in Monday’s Game 2 against the Warriors.

However, each then missed interior attempts that could have gotten Houston within one, and the Warriors followed with Livingston’s hoops and a parade to the free-throw line, finally pushing the visitors an arm’s length away.

Thompson scored a game-high 34 points, and Andre Iguodala came off the bench to add 18 points.

That set the tempo for the rest of the night as Golden State led from that point on. The only way that will happen is if James Harden gets hot and in Game 1 his presence barely registered. “It’s something we really do play by”. The second game, we played a little better today, but it’s just we can’t do enough to get a win. He understands we have, first of all, his best interest at heart, his career.

The Warriors went into this game knowing very well what they could accomplish with a non-Curry victory.
