Warriors vs Blazers Monday Game 4

Warriors guard Stephen Curry got the go-ahead from the Warriors medical staff and will suit up for Game 4 tonight against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Sure, he had 23 points in 31 minutes in his first game back after suffering a sprained MCL in his right leg roughly two weeks ago, shot just 10-of-25 from the field and 2-of-13 from three.

And that is not the only good news for Curry, as reports claim he will win his second straight MVP award. PF Draymond Green and SG Klay Thompson were the clear offensive leaders, combining for 72 points and 9 assists.

The Trail Blazers went into halftime with a 67-57 lead. The league’s leading scorer this season missed four of his first six shot attempts, including a half-court heave as the first-quarter clock expired.

Even without Steph Curry playing, the Warriors have been able to handle the Blazers. He led the league with 30.1 points per game on 50.4-percent shooting and 45.4 percent from beyond the 3-point line.

The Trail Blazers narrowed the series to 2-1 on Saturday night when Lillard scored 40 points in a 120-108 Portland victory while Golden State was still without its star guard.

The Blazers could also make a few line-up changes in Game 4, as well, given the limited status of Maurice Harkless. So I don’t think his conditioning would be great.

Curry led the league in scoring during the regular season with 30.1 points per game and broke his own record with 402 3-pointers. But the Warriors will obviously welcome their MVP back with open arms, and the presence of Curry will stabilize their rotation and not force Kerr to use as many questionable lineups. “I expected a lot of rust”. They are 10-0 following the previous losses, winning by 15.8 points the following game. That means how focused I am, how accountable I’m holding myself.

Next up, the Trail Blazers face their first elimination game of the 2016 Playoffs Wednesday night at Oracle Arena.

In the meantime, reigning MVP Stephen Curry is set to sit out his fifth game in a row due to a knee injury.

Some wondered whether Curry would find anything remotely like his groove again this season after he was injured in the first round against Houston on April 24.
