Warriors winning streak ends at 24 in a loss to Milwaukee Bucks
Those were the ones with bold white numbers that read “24-1”. Curry scored 28 with seven rebounds and five assists but backcourt mate Klay Thompson was off after missing Friday’s double-overtime game in Boston with a sprained ankle. The Warriors game has been the biggest game on most every team’s schedule this year so far, and despite all the film opponents have watched, the Warriors kind of kept playing the way they wanted and bulldozing opponents.

While the Bucks were thrilled – their 10-15 start largely had been a disappointment until Saturday – and their sellout crowd of 18,717 was giddy, the Warriors were a long ways from sad. “I think that, probably the last seven or eight games, we’ve stopped getting better and we’ve just tried to win games”. “We put the ball in the basket and we carried over what we did in the second half (in Toronto)”.
Bucks lose to Raptors, 90-83: Shooting guard Khris Middleton scored 26 points, his fourth game of at least 20 this season, but his counterpart did even more north of the border.
“It happens”, Kidd said. “Coaches can’t stop him from shooting”.
“Look, he’s going to make tough shots”.
Hopefully this is the win that inspires the Bucks to play better. He was short on just about all of his shots, not being able to get the necessary lift and elevation on his jumper.
Even though J.R. Smith was part of the Cavs roster that lost to Golden State in the finals past year in six games, he found himself rooting for the Warriors as they built their undefeated streak to start this season.
Chasing the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers’ record of 33 games, the Warriors were finally halted at 28 – the second longest in the history of the National Basketball Association.
The Warriors acknowledged their defeat with humility which they proved on their Twitter post saying, “Well, we knew the streak had to end at some point”.
“The earlier the better, but 5 o’clock on a Saturday in particular, a later afternoon start is still a very good thing for our business and we’ve seen more engagement on those Saturday games as well”, Brabants said.
As for college hoops, Marquette’s win over Wisconsin was a signaling of the power shift in the sport in our state – and an unusual one for MU, as it eschewed its traditional speed-oriented game and used its talent inside with Henry Ellenson and Luke Fischer for a hard-fought 57-55 win.
“I am not happy it is over because at the end of the day what we did was pretty cool”. No NBA team has ever gone 7-0 on a single road trip. “And so, for us, we didn’t talk about the streak, it was about playing the world champs”. “It was a lot of fun”. Defensively we can hold our own.
On the other side, Michael Carter-Williams, himself a awful shooter, went 7/10 last night and had a +/- of 22 (which is usually a misleading stat that can’t correct for noise, but is, in this case, indicative of the type of game he had). “There’s no one to take a break on”. The biggest improvement has come on the defensive end. The Warriors also got 24 points and 11 rebounds from Draymond Green.
“We never wavered”, Monroe said.
“We’ve got to help one another”. They are handling the media hype extremely well for a franchise that was not this good a few seasons ago.

Afterward, Green addressed the team in the locker room.
