Instead, the foul was upgraded to a Flagrant Foul 2 and Green has been fined $25,000.

Even as Green bounced back on Thursday, his emotions got the best of him when he picked up his fifth technical foul of the playoffs, putting him just two away from a one-game suspension.

Green was called for a flagrant 1 foul after he was fouled by Adams with 5:57 remaining in the second quarter and kicked his leg up into Adams’ groin.

Steven Adams is kicked in a rather sensitive area by Warriors forward Draymond Green. Adams was guarding the forward at that time but was then kicked in the groin as Green attempted to make a shot.

Green and Kerr compared the kick to what Westbrook does in an attempt to draw foul calls.

But the incident seemed to affect Green who had just six points in 32 minutes on one-of-nine shooting.

-GREEN: I don’t know. He has no regard for the safety of his fellow athletes whatsoever, otherwise he would have corrected that flailing leg. The leg and foot are not uncontrollable and the fact is that Green has turned his leg and foot into a weapon that he controls and unleashes whenever it suits his goal. I’m like, ‘what happened?’ Like I said, I thought it would be rescinded.

Try minus-43 in Game 3 and minus-30 in Game 4, career-worst totals. “But Green’s actions in this case warranted an additional penalty”.

Green was charged with a flagrant one foul, and although he was not ejected, the incident appeared to be a blessing in disguise for Oklahoma City. “He said, ‘Draymond, I’m not saying intentional”. It just is what it is for me.

“Russell said I did it on goal”, Green added, “but he’s part of the superstar group that started all this acting in the National Basketball Association. Our training staff, relatives, friends, sources with knowledge of our team’s thinking, nobody has told me he’s 70 percent”. They were not about to suspend the second-most important player on a team from the sixth-largest media market in the country. “They have plenty of other players that are just as capable”.
