Was Horizon: Zero Dawn Delayed into 2017?

Guerrilla’s upcoming PS4 robo-dino action-RPG Horizon: Zero Dawn has been pushed back to 2017, according to industry insider shinobi602. Just a few minutes ago, he tweeted that his sources are now suggesting a delay into early next year; it would also seem like the game may take advantage of the rumored PS4K/Neo enhanced console.

Horizon: Zero Dawn is set in post-apocalyptic setting, thousands of years in the future, where mankind has been reduced to nomadic tribes who are trying to survive against mechanized dinosaurs-esque beasts.

I don’t think there’s a reason to fear for anything. “The PS4K comment wasn’t meant as anything more”.

For more on PlayStation 4k and Horizon: Zero Dawn I guess you should probably stay right here… and never leave… This is Guerrilla we’re talking about. Back at E3 2015 and in the following months we were given extensive details and gameplay videos showing a very well polished and near complete title, at least it looked that way.

Reports now indicate games released for the rumoured PS4.5 will have upgraded visuals like 4K support or an increased framerate as opposed to what will be displayed on a core PS4. While disappointing we prefer a game living up to its potential over a rushed one.

So far Sony has yet to announce any official delay to the product, so it’s still worth taking a smidgen of salt with these rumours.
