Was [Spoiler] In The Talking Dead In Memoriam Segment?

This was one insane episode, an episode that leaves us wondering whether the show really killed off a series regular. He leaves Glenn and Michonne in charge of getting the survivors back to Alexandria.

“I need to get home but I’m not leaving them behind”, Glenn says. Rick kills him, sees his friends and then, for reasons passing understanding, blindly shoots THROUGH the RV with an automatic rifle, wasting countless bullets and potentially not hitting his attackers. As she watches them go by, she says they’ll make their move after the walkers are clear.

When Carl (Chandler Riggs) asked her if she saw The Wolves, Enid said that they’re “just people” and that Alexandria is “too big to protect”. So he already has doubts about Michonne and Glenn’s leadership. They came across a group of Walkers and they tried to fight them.

There is also one other loose thread hanging…. did Rick get bit?

According to the site, it’s not only Nicholas who will die in this segment. The walker horde is still headed their way and Rick, Daryl and the crew have to find a way to get them moving away from their town again.

When they arrived at the feed store to set a fire to lure the zombies away, it had already burned down.

Meanwhile, Michonne is left to lead the rest of the group. But Michonne tells Heath that things are not that simple and sometimes you have no choice but to leave people behind. Daryl doesn’t tell Rick that he split from Sasha and Abraham; however, he has second thoughts when he hears a struggle on Rick’s end of the radio. He falls victim to the walker herd at the fence as his group tries to escape the town. You’ve never had to do it any other way, you haven’t been through it. Not really, not like Rick. First Annie twists her ankle. She yells at the others to run and leave her before she is consumed. They climb on top of a dumpster in an effort to get to higher ground. WHY everyone just WATCHED him get eaten, I don’t know, because they easily could have stabbed him in the head to put him out of his misery. Glenn and Michonne were charged with bringing the Alexandrians (including Heath) back to their city.

CLICK: OMG, did The Walking Dead just kill Glenn? Will Maggie go out searching for him?

“Thank you”, he said, and then shot himself in the head.

Glenn buddied up with Nicholas. There are a few theories online floating around that Glenn isn’t really dead and that it was Nicolas’ body being devoured on top of Glenn, but it didn’t look like that to us. “Rick was out there, I was out there, we know, you don’t”, she told him.

What exactly does “parts of Glenn” mean? It was just giving up and condemning Glenn to death. Suddenly, the odds are massively against these characters, no one is safe, and we feel the intense sadness of their possible fates.

Right about now, this show’s fans fans are probably going through a similar intellectual wrestling match, trying to decide whether this latest twist is one too many. But more importantly, I fear what Glenn’s death will do for the tone of the show. They ran to find him, but a group of Walkers was eating him. Nobody wants to see Glenn die, but it’s such a major moment in the source material that it seemed to be a foregone conclusion to most. Is this a similar situation? They had to go, but the Walkers were being drawn toward the noise and they were trapped.

The blood sprays on a shocked Glenn, who starts to scream. I think we can safely say that is not true. Glenn, who would sacrifice himself so everyone else could live.

There’s plenty more to dissect in this episode, but I’m going to get through these quickly…

Apparently, tonight’s episode will be as heavy as Rick tries to return to home and manage the straying Walkers. We see him meet up with Sasha and Abraham to finish the mission. That’s the same one Rick has and is the only way to make it in this world. While Glenn isn’t a blanket pacifist like Morgan has become, but he also doesn’t subscribe to Rick’s kill ’em all edict either.

Do you believe Glenn will bite it this week on “Walking Dead” if so who will be Negan’s victim when he and Lucille make their arrival?

OPTION #1: Glenn is dead and will be next seen as a walker. Michonne told him to pull it together. Were you upset about any of the other Alexandrians’ deaths? No big deal. We don’t even know his name.
