Paul Manafort, the embattled chairman of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign who has been under fire in connection with a Ukrainian corruption investigation, tendered his resignation on August 19, 2016. The Trump campaign spent $18.5 million in July, less than half the $38.2 million spent by the Clinton campaign.

“I will bring your jobs back”.
“I fully recognize that outreach to the African-American community is an area where the Republican Party must do better, and will do better”, Trump said in Fredericksburg, located between Richmond and Washington in the critical battleground state of Virginia.
“Sometimes, in the heat of debate and speaking on a multitude of issues, you don’t choose the right words, or say the wrong thing”.

The co-ordinated timing of all this would have been positive for the Trump campaign had it not been for Friday morning’s announcement that Paul Manafort, his campaign chairman and chief strategist, was resigning.
“My father didn’t want to be you know distracted by whatever things Paul was dealing with”, the younger Trump said in a preview of a Fox News interview airing Sunday.
As for the serious ones, at the end of July, Trump criticized the Muslim American parents of Humayun Khan, who died in Iraq in 2004, and insinuated his mother wasn’t allowed to speak while her husband spoke at the Democratic National Convention.
That team includes Stephen Bannon, a combative conservative media executive with no presidential campaign experience, and pollster Kellyanne Conway, who has known Trump for years.
Clinton employs about 10 times more staff than Trump.
Trump has been lagging behind his Democratic Party challenger, Hillary Clinton, in several recent election polls.
Critics expressed skepticism over Trump’s contrition.
Dr. Bitzer also said that spending $4 million for ads this late in the campaign is not that much.
