Washington Democrats ready for weekend presidential caucuses

It’s a message both campaigns have stressed in recent weeks. The two are clear front-runners, but Clinton has an easier path. As a result, the Republican Party is splintering and spinning out of control towards a brokered convention that could literally shatter the Grand Old Party.

Former secretary of state Democrat Hillary Clinton said the attacks would “only strengthen our resolve to stand together as allies and defeat terrorism and radical jihadism around the world”. People also may come to watch but not take part in the caucus, as long as there is enough room. On these results, Idaho County will send three delgates for Sanders and one delegate for Clinton to the Idaho State Democratic Convention, June 17-19, in Boise.

The backdrop Tuesday was carnage in Europe. The Islamic State terror syndicate has claimed responsibility.

Well, it won’t do that, because there is no such person left in the GOP race.

Ted Cruz is saying that Donald Trump’s tweet that threatened to “spill the beans” on his wife was “gutter politics” and “reached a new low”.

State Democratic Party leaders are hoping for a repeat of 2008, which saw a record number of caucus-goers. How many delegates did you win?

Caucuses start Saturday morning, and party officials believe there will be a strong showing even though the Democratic nomination process has lacked much of the drama of the Republican contest.

To date, Clinton has a lead of 1,223 to 920 over Sanders based on primaries and caucuses. Nine Republican delegates are up for grabs in American Samoa. For the Democratic candidates, there are 27 delegates available in Idaho.

Trump misidentified Cruz as the source of the ad. Bernie Sanders swamped Clinton Tuesday night:18.640 to 5,065. Needed to win: 2,383.

The difference is not attributable to her institutional advantage among “superdelegates”, who are elite party members free to support any candidate they wish – it’s down to her popular appeal. Howard and her family were among thousands of Navajos who were moved off Hopi land in a bitter dispute before settling in an area of the Navajo Nation.

Idaho’s largest Democratic presidential caucus has finally begun.

“You don’t hear anyone mention the Natives”. Almost six in 10 say the Vermont senator cares the most about people like them, and 64 percent see him as the most honest and trustworthy candidate. In Phoenix, additional ballots had to be taken to a voting site because of the overwhelming turnout, The Arizona Republic reported.

Boise Mayor Dave Bieter threw his support behind Clinton, but his speech in front of Boise voters was peppered with Sanders supporters’ enthusiastic interruptions.

At least one supporter toted a sign critical of Donald Trump and the violence that has marred his campaign events.

Walker says Cruz and Ohio Gov. John Kasich fit more with his strategy than Trump. She couldn’t do it, although she sputtered that nobody could have reasonably thought Obama would be a better President than Clinton so the fact that he won proved his supporters were sexist.

Hillary Clinton won in Arizona on Tuesday, maintaining a lopsided advantage over Sanders in the Democratic presidential race despite his wins in Utah and Idaho on the same night.

Sanders gave every public indication that he remains in the race to win, saying he does better against Trump than Clinton “in every national poll”.
