My hats off to interim head coach Larry Scott for an admirable showing, having his team continue to fight game after game after the firing of Al Golden.

Remarkably, Washington State is only 1-3 SU in games where it comes out ahead in the turnover battle, yet undefeated (6-0 SU) when losing the turnover battle.

Cougars quarterback Luke Falk, who was 29-of-53 for 295 yards and two touchdowns, was named MVP. Erickson left the Cougars for the Hurricanes after the 1988 season and led Miami to two national titles, one in ’89 and the other in ’91.
