Wasserman Schultz emerges from low profile at end of ‘difficult week’
The 2016 Democratic National Convention has been gaveled into session-by someone other than former DNC Chairwoman U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (as of this writing, it’s not clear who that will be)-in what is sure to be a very confusing and chaotic event.

The four-day Democratic National Convention will kick off on Monday in Philadelphia, where Clinton is expected to be officially announced as the party’s nominee and Sanders will also make a speech calling for the party’s unity.
Wasserman Schultz, long accused by Bernie Sanders and his supporters of favoring Hillary Clinton in the primary season, was pushed to resign after hacked emails leaked Sunday showed DNC officials undermining Sanders and helping Clinton.
State Senate Minority Leader Loretta Weinberg (D-37), a Clinton delegate, said that she was glad to see Wasserman Schultz step down so quickly and help to mitigate the damage.
During the convention’s first hour, Sanders supporters repeatedly booed and chanted, which resulted in a reaction from Clinton delegates and a deafening roar. “Everybody, settle down please…”
Alera Henson, a Sanders delegate from Tulsa, says Wasserman Schultz’s decision to leave the post eased the concerns of her fellow Sanders supporters, but only momentarily. Sanders was derided as being paranoid during the campaign for suggesting the national party was in cahoots with Hillary Clinton. Tim Kaine, the presumptive Democratic vice presidential nominee. “She knew it’s a rigged system that Bernie Sanders never had a chance”, he said.
A large chunk of Bernie Sanders delegates may have inside seats at the DNC on a sweltering day, but they feel left out in the cold. He has already endorsed Clinton, and he would continue to support her. Right now, his goal is to prevent Donald Trump, which according to him is the worst Republican candidate in the history of America, from getting elected as the President of the United States. Sometimes you just have to take one for the team. Sanders has supported Canova.
Many supporters of Ms. Wasserman Schultz, however, shouted back at the critics, loudly cheering during her speech. Clinton has made her opposition to Donald Trump’s proposed border wall with Mexico a frequent talking point of her campaign.

Nothing in the emails, released by WikiLeaks, says to us that Sanders might have won the Democratic presidential nomination had the DNC not played favorites. The boos came on the heels of Wikileaks leaked almost 20,000 internal emails, which showed officials working against Sanders in the primary.
