Wasserman Schultz to Resign
By Monday afternoon, as concerns grew about Wasserman Schultz also being jeered on stage, the outgoing DNC chair said she would step aside.

Trouble started early Monday, when Wasserman Schultz’s debut at the convention proved disastrous. Some delegates, likely Sanders’ supporters, reportedly booed and protested her appearance.
Wasserman Schultz has been in the middle of a firestorm ever since WikiLeaks released a number of hacked emails from the DNC that indicated that it was plotting against Sen.
Alaska party spokesman Jake Hamburg says people freely shared information with the party.
The day before Democrats spend the week getting activists excited about presumptive presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, the primary rival to the former Secretary of State has ammunition to back up his claims.
“But she just got fired, they said, ‘Debbie, you’re fired.’ How about that for disloyalty in terms of Hillary Clinton, in all fairness, because Debbie Wasserman Schultz has been so much for Hillary Clinton”.
Though the leaked emails did not touch upon debate scheduling decisions, one showed a top DNC official questioning Senator Sanders’ Jewish faith, wondering if he could be accused of being an atheist in contests in Kentucky and West Virginia. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-FL, speaks at the Democratic National Committee’s Womens Leadership Forum Issues Conference in Washington, DC on September 19, 2014.
Monday, it seemed whenever Bernie Sanders supporters were booing DNC speakers, television networks panned over to the MI delegation.
The leaked emails, which come from the accounts of seven key figures in the DNC, show how the party including Debbie Wasserman Schultz worked for Hillary Clinton and actively against the Vermont senator during the 2016 Democratic nomination contest.
She may briefly address the delegates Monday for a few minutes, a scenario to which the Clinton and Sanders campaigns have tentatively agreed, sources said.
“There’s been dirty politics throughout history and I certainly hope that Congresswoman Wasserman [Schultz] is defeated in her local election because it’s disgraceful”, said Sanders supporter Jack Shannahan on Sunday.

For her part, Clinton also thanked her “longtime friend” for her five years as DNC leader, and announced she will act as a Clinton surrogate in Florida, a key swing state, as well as other states.
