Wasserman Schultz won’t gavel in convention

She said she plans to formally open and close the convention, as well as address delegates.

It’s hard to overstate how bad this is for Wasserman Schultz. Branding himself a democratic socialist, Sanders galvanized young and liberal voters with his calls to rein in Wall Street and eradicate income inequality.

On NBC’s Meet the Press, Sanders wouldn’t say whether Schultz should be forced to resign before the Democratic convention begins. Rep. Marcia Fudge, D-Ohio, will serve as permanent chair of the convention.

Wasserman Shultz also called Weaver a “damn liar” in May after he criticized the Nevada Democratic Party following protests among Sanders supporters who said Clinton’s backers had subverted party rules. Tim Kaine of Virginia to be her running mate.

Former Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak, a vice chairman at the DNC, told The Hill on Sunday that those involved in scheming to undermine Bernie Sanders’s presidential campaign should either resign immediately or be fired.

You could see the pro-Clinton bias past year in Wasserman Schultz’s decision to schedule a limited number of debates, with three of the first four falling on weekends when viewership is low. Her fundraising and organizing skills were matched only by her passion, her commitment and her warmth.

Democratic Party leaders reacted to another sudden twist in an unbelievable political season by leveling the sensational allegation that Russian President Vladimir Putin was trying to tip the U.S. election toward Donald Trump.

“My first priority has always been serving the people of the 23rd district of Florida and I look forward to continuing to do that as their member of Congress for years to come”, she wrote. However, he says he still wants to see Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump.

One of the officials also told CBS that the “DNC was told before the convention that something was going on and they took some time to respond”.

“They clearly have a strong preference in the presidential race”, he said. Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook said Sunday, “Experts are telling us that Russian state actors broke into the DNC, stole these emails, (and are) releasing these emails for the objective of helping Donald Trump”.

That wish was granted after she was booed and heckled by her fellow Floridians.

Humphrey said people deserve an answer about why Wasserman Schultz was brought on to the Clinton campaign. “My second message is that we continue the political revolution”. DNC Vice Chairwoman Donna Brazile will serve as interim chair through the election, the DNC said on Twitter. “America’s best days are still ahead of us, my friends”, Clinton said during a campaign event Saturday in Miami. She added: “I know that the chair will hold those employees accountable if they’re found to have acted outside of that neutrality and even-handedness”.

Now, it’s already going to be an interesting Democratic National Convention.

Sanders endorsed Clinton two weeks ago after pressing for the party platform to include a $15-an-hour minimum wage, debt-free college and an expansion of access to health care. “I mean, that is just totally unacceptable behavior”. “If she’s touring around the country being a surrogate for the Clinton campaign, my guess is she’ll do more harm than good”. “We know that the voices in this room that are standing up and being disruptive, we know that’s not the Florida that we know”, Wasserman Schultz shouted over the crowd. Clinton’s team and top Democrats will reintroduce their candidate to the American public and hope to make the case that she’s the best person to succeed Barack Obama in the Oval Office.

“If they think they can win without half the party, let them lose”, said Andrew Fader, 27, of NY, who was wearing a “Bernie” T-shirt on Sunday near the Liberty Bell.

But Wasserman Schultz’s departure seemed to do little to pacify some Sanders backers.
