A new video shows off 13 minutes of gameplay from the upcoming remastered version of Bioshock. Infinite’s ascent above the clouds.
The article continues below.
We got a first look at the collection in a trailer, showing off all three games with revamped visuals that are appropriate for today’s consoles. While the original versions of the games were already a lovely sight to behold, it’s safe to say that fans are going to be given a visual feast if these Let’s Play videos are any indication of BioShock: The Collection as a final product. There’s no doubt each game delivers a memorable experience.
Those who own BioShock or BioShock 2 on Steam will be upgraded to the remastered versions for free. Strangely, BioShock 2 gets the least amount of screen time, with its seven minute and 44 second run time almost half that of the BioShock and BioShock Infinite clips. Director’s commentary videos with creator Ken Levine and host Geoff Keighley will also be featured. When BioShock released in 2007, the game was already visually stunning and to think that the developers can improve on that is something special.
Should BioShock: The Collection go on to considerable success, it’s safe to presume that developers will move forward with a much-desired new game in the series. Naturally, though, since BioShock: The Collection has still yet to release, we will have to wait and see what that atmosphere will be.
