Lansbury graced the stage at Alice Tully Hall in New York City and treated the audience to a live performance of the movie’s theme song, and it really struck a chord. Original voice actors Paige O’Hara (Belle), Robby Benson (The Beast) and Richard White (Gaston) also showed up – participating in a Q&A panel with the film’s executive producer. She topped off her epic performance by reenacting a scene from the movie.

“Run along and get in the cupboard, Chip”, the “Murder, She Wrote” star said at the end of her song. The song won an Academy Award, Golden Globe and Grammy Award. The movie was screened on same stage in September 1991, two months before it hit theaters.
