“I think that Jay would be one of my favourites to win, but who’s going to win?”

Aliona however was happy with how Jay dealt with the problems: “I was actually weirdly so impressed with Jay because I know when he’d go wrong before he’s just stopped and give up and I had a chat with Jay saying you have to push through no matter what and he did that amazingly in the quickstep. I don’t know. It’s hard to pick”.

Jay was the first celebrity to get a 10 on this series of Strictly. Online that she “had big hopes from the day I met [Jay]”. “So as things were going wrong so badly, he was actually trying to get back into the routine and I felt him pushing through and it actually made me so proud of him because of that”.

“I love doing my calendars”, she stated.

The former Wanted member admitted to a litany of mis-steps during the dance with his partner Aliona Vilani on Saturday night for which he was awarded a disappointing 25 from the judges, down from a score of 37 the week before. “I didn’t event know if I’d be able to work again”.

Ola’s husband and fellow Strictly dancer James Jordan rushed to her defence: “How can he say it’s not okay to sell a sexy Christmas calendar, but it’s okay to sell his own book telling the world he was a drunken rent boy and call it All Balls and Glitter?”

“Basically every mistake that I would naturally make in the learning process, I chose to do them all together”, the 25-year-old singer said on sister show Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two.
