Watch Cate Blanchett’s Face Eerily Transform in Massive Attack’s ‘The Spoils’ Video
Massive Attack have shared a video for The Spoils.

OSCAR-winner Cate Blanchett’s face is completely distorted and melted (to the point of creepy) in a freaky new Massive Attack video.
Have you ever watched The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button and found yourself wondering, “Man, I wonder what Cate Blanchett would look like if her face melted plum off her body?”
The music video highlights Blanchett’s face in front of a black back-drop as she slowly deconstructs and eerily morphs into a stone sculpture. Directed by John Hillcoat (The Road; Lawless; The Proposition), the video is mesmerizing and haunting in equal measure. Hillcoat, too, is prolific, being an award-winning Australian director who has previously worked with Nick Cave, Bob Dylan, and Depeche Mode.

Massive Attack have also released numerous music videos this year, including clips for “Ritual Spirit” and “Voodoo in My Blood”, which feature performances from Kate Moss and Rosamund Pike, respectively.
