In a freakish incident on the season premiere of “Dancing With the Stars” Monday night, Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte’s debut on the dancing competition was interrupted by what appeared to be someone trying to rush the stage.

On the 23rd Season Premiere of “Dancing With The Stars” on ABC which aired on September 12, 2016 anti-Ryan Lochte protestors attempted to storm the stage as the swimmer was being addressed by the judges.
When the show cut back to the dance floor, Lochte responded to the incident.
Burke returned to work Tuesday morning for a pro dancer rehearsal and is expected to rehearse with Lochte on Tuesday afternoon.
The two men started chanting and protesting while Lochte was getting his scores from judge Carrie Ann Inaba, making her (and all DWTS viewers) frustrated.
Sododeh and Soroudi, who were authorized guests (they apparently their shirts during the show) were charged with suspicion of trespassing. But some witness statements and surveillance videos support Lochte’s initial statement that the swimmers were robbed at the gas station by armed men who flashed badges and pointed guns at them before shaking the swimmers down for their wallets.
Stay on topic – This helps keep the thread focused on the discussion at hand. “We thought it was a joke, something prior to the show, you know”.
Lochte has been in hot water since he “over-exaggerated,” as he says, an incident in Rio de Janiero, claiming first that he and his fellow Olympic swimmers were held up at gunpoint.
Inaba also posted a photo on social media expressing her thanks to the “DWTS” security team. He added, “So many feelings are going through my head right now”.
Lochte said he felt “a little hurt” by the incident. Four women in the audience, wearing the same T-shirts, booed and were shown leaving.
“But I came out here, I wanted to do something that I’m completely not comfortable with, and I did, and I came out with a big smile, and had the best dance partner”.

The morning after the terrifying incident, Burke took to Instagram where she admitted that she is “still trying to process everything” that took place Monday evening.
