Watch ‘Game of Thrones’ Creators ‘Apologize’ for Hodor
Their apology is directed to the people who would be dealing with “idiots” who would be shouting “Hodor!” every time they request a person to hold the door for them.

Whether this was a loving New York-themed sendoff to the character, or a condemnation of Hodor’s entire philosophy, is hard to say. On Sunday night’s Game of Thrones, we said goodbye to the sweet, fearless Hodor.
But while they may not have apologised for that as such, this video they made for Jimmy Kimmel Live proves they are definitely remorseful about one thing.
The first happened in Game of Thrones Season 5, when Stannis Baratheon handed over his daughter Shireen to be sacrificed by Melisandre. How do you kill off such a beloved character and not have people upset? He died in Sunday’s episode after heroically saving Bran and Meera’s life.
Fans also got to learn that Hodor’s condition was accidentally caused by Bran. The actor looks quite clueless (and really pissed off) during the whole incident, while Turps remorselessly continues to say, “Sorry, Nairn eh”.
And in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the showrunners of the HBO fantasy hit said those conversations included “three holy sh*t moments” that stood out.
OK, by now you know that Jon Snow died again. Bran was even more powerful than he ever imagined because not only can he see the past and the future, but unlike any greenseer before him, he can actually alter events. He may come back as a White Walker, maybe he got away.
“He’s a lovable character, and of course I love him to death”, said Kristian Nairn, who plays Hodor.
