Among Prince’s other biggest hits were such classics as “The Beautiful Ones”, “Pop Life”, “Diamonds and Pearls”, “Kiss”, “How Come U Don’t You Call Me Anymore”, “I Will Die 4 U”, and “Lady Cab Driver”.
“As we all know, today, we lost a legend”. Electric word life, it means forever, and that’s a mighty long time.
Tell us, HollywoodLifers – What do YOU think of Hamilton’s tribute?
Prince tributes are happening all over the world, but if they were being ranked the Hamilton cast would definitely take the top spot.
But the wildly popular musical isn’t just a hit among the masses, raking in million in advance ticket sales alone, “Hamilton” also won the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama on Monday and Miranda became a recipient of the MacArthur “Genius” Grant last September.
Before the close of a recent production the entire cast assembled on stage at the Richard Rodgers Theatre for a jazzy rendition of the 57-year-old icon’s hit tune “Let’s Go Crazy”.
Earlier on Thursday Miranda had shared that hearing of the loss of the iconic musician had left him ‘gutted, ‘ adding: ‘Mourning with you’. Walk around, blast some Prince. “It’s the only thing that has saved my day, it may save yours”, he continued.

Later that night, Manuel tweeted, “Today we laughed, we cried, we mourned, we danced”.
