Hillman gave Manning the ball back for a keepsake and the quarterback tossed it to the Broncos sideline to have it put away. Three of those picks came before halftime, at which point, for the first time in his decorated career, the 39-year-old quarterback had a rating of 0.0 (which is what he ended with).
Manning performed poorly against the Chiefs, throwing four interceptions against the Chiefs. It was Manning’s sixth career four-interception game and first career game with four interceptions and no touchdown passes.
After a 3-3 first half, tight end Brandon Pettigrew’s touchdown put the Lions 9-3 up going into what would prove a dramatic fourth quarter.
He now has 539 touchdowns in his long National Football League career.

With Manning’s sore right foot preventing him from stepping into his passes properly and getting zip on his throws, Kubiak finally turned to Osweiler with Denver down 22-0.
