Watch New Jersey Fundraiser To Pay Off Governor’s Debts
But he continues to stump for The Donald, once again traveling out of state on New Jersey’s dime. And apparently, he has great affection for the Garden State. Trump and Christie are expected to speak at 7 p.m. EDT at the National Guard Armory in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. “Wise guys. So many wise guys. You can make it in New Jersey, you can do just about anything you want”. “That’s bad”, Trump said, according to the Associated Press.

But, the governor noted, the decision was easy for him and his wife, Mary Pat Christie.
The hand-in-hand fund raising help is a sharp turnabout from five months ago, when Trump accused Christie of “totally” knowing that some of his allies had shut down access lanes to bridge to retaliate against a Democratic mayor who wouldn’t support Christie’s re-election, as prosecutors allege.
The 0 admission – $25 for students – was Trump’s thank-you of sorts, helping Christie get rid of the $250,000 debt from his own presidential campaign. Clinton cited recent comments from Trump criticizing Great Britain, praising the leader of North Korea and questioning America’s membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, or NATO. After exiting the race, Christie endorsed Trump and has since appeared with him at various events throughout the primary season. “Neither is Chris! You’re not eating Oreos again!” “Chris, don’t feel bad, for either of us”.
Trump also got enmeshed in some of the less savory aspects of Christie’s governorship.
He continued, “A lot of you don’t know the world of economics and you shouldn’t even bother”. “And I’m going to say, Mary Pat, I won’t do that”. “If you can make it in New Jersey, you can make it doing just about anything you want”.
Furthermore, the much-needed win has made Christie more confident. “It’s driving them insane'”. Trade war? We’re losing United States dollars 500 billion in trade with China. “We’re going to win, win, win”.
Trump touted his proposal for a 35 percent tariff on imports into the United States from the American companies that have outsourced to Mexico. And, on top of that, they are building fortresses on the South China Sea. “Trump continued. “$500 billion and they’re telling me about a trade war”. “There’s nothing like New Jersey: So many wiseguys”, he said, as the crowd roared. “We are going to build that wall”.
Tittel said Christie and Trump are “perfect together, like two peas in a pod”, observing that each offered “political cover” to one another.
“We are going to have a military that’s going to be so big and so strong and so powerful that nobody is going to mess with us”, he said. You ever see a bully get knocked out? It’s a awful thing.

And then there were the uncomfortable optics of the whole thing. And at one of Trump’s victory events in March after winning seven states, Christie stood behind the mogul with a pained and vacant stare that prompted widespread jeering on social media.
