Watch New Mass Effect: Andromeda Teaser Trailer
Well, luckily, BioWare loves their fans, and released a brand-new trailer for the next chapter in the series, the now undated Mass Effect: Andromeda. Though the pair cannily dodged divulging any substantive bits of info, we did learn that the new game will indeed take place in the far-off Andromeda galaxy. The video itself is little more than stock footage and a voice over, but it’s interesting that the trailer is narrated by Jennifer Hale, reprising the role of Commander Shepard. In theory, no two Commander Shepards were the same, but now they are all a distant memory.

That’s the first hint we’ve had of the new protagonist’s name, and the first name overall that we’ve had to go along with the images of the characters we’ve seen so far.
For a few the thought of leaving Commander Shepard behind may be a hard pill to swallow, but we’ve known this was happening for quite a few time. Could it be the one that you’ll pilot in Andromeda – or will it feature in a few other way? Surely today would be the flawless day to release a few new Mass Effect Andromeda details? The dialogue in the narration suggests that our hero may be a player-created character, but that’s not entirely clear.
The upcoming game will be set long after the events of the original Mass Effect trilogy.
