He only played a small part of the song, but it felt like a big moment.

Paul McCartney made his first of two stops in Minneapolis last night at the Target Center. Hell, thousands and thousands of musicians out there have already paid their respects to the late legend.
The guitar genius shows no signs of slowing down as he has extended the “One on One” tour due to popular demand.
“Minneapolis, Prince. Prince, Minneapolis”, McCartney said, according to the Star Tribune. “But I was very lucky this New Year’s Eve”. “It was a attractive night. It goes together”, McCartney said onstage with Prince’s glowing purple glyph towering in the background. “It was attractive. God bless you, Prince!”. Accentuating the pentatonic blues scale, the cover sounds exactly like you’d imagine what Paul McCartney doing a Prince cover would sound like.
As he sang, Prince’s purple icon appeared on a big screen behind him.

“He’s your guy!” McCartney yelled as he finished the song. Loved that guy. Thank you, Prince, for writing so many lovely songs, so much music.
