President Barack Obama on Wednesday dismissed Donald Trump in withering terms and offered his complete support for Hillary Clinton. His emotional tribute moved Bernie Sanders and his wife, Jane, to tears. Still, he says, “It’s healing time. I promise you, our strength, our greatness, does not depend on Donald Trump”. Brown is speaking at the Democratic convention later Wednesday, and in his prepared remarks, he notes Trump has called global warming a hoax.
Biden says Trump backs “torture” and “religious intolerance”. Brown’s also disputing Trump’s assertion there’s no drought in California – only water mismanagement.
“This is not your typical election”, Obama said at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. “It is deadly serious”, he said.

Obama will try to make the case that Clinton has the knowledge and experience required to lead the nation through hard times. Clinton is someone who listens to people, keeps her cool and treats everybody with respect.
“What an incredible honor you have given me”, Hillary Clinton said. Sanders’ graciousness appeared to help tamp down the anger and frustration voiced by his most ardent supporters, some of whom even walked out of the convention rather than be seen supporting his opponent.
By contrast, he said, “there has never been a man or a woman-not me, not Bill, nobody-more qualified than Hillary Clinton to serve as president of the United States of America”.
Michael Bloomberg, who was a member of the Republican Party but is now an independent, said Clinton was the only smart choice for the American economy.
“Come Labor Day you’ll see Hillary Clinton pulling away again”, Brazile said. Biden gave cops, and soldiers, and teachers a shout out, reminding everyone listening, “being a teacher is not what they do, it’s who they are”. It clocked in at 30 minutes, with no applause.
Update at 7:15 p.m. ET. The 21st century is going to be the American century. “Donald Trump is asking one of our adversaries to engage in hacking or intelligence efforts against the United States to affect our election”. Both Biden and Obama have a not-so-rosy history with Clinton, who ran against Obama during a bitter 2008 primary race.
Update at 7:46 p.m. ET. Fueling the intrigue was Trump’s praise for Putin as a strong and effective leader, and Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort’s lobbying work for pro-Russia politicians in Ukraine.

Instead, he called on Russian Federation to find the missing emails from Hillary Clinton’s personal server, since they probably contain “some beauties”.
