“I’m the Doctor. And I save people”, he declares.
And there’s a shot of Jenna Coleman as Clara wielding a bazooka, with a look of steely determination as she lines up a shot.
The return of Doctor Who is right around the corner and we’ve got a shiny new trailer to mull over until the premiere! An earlier trailer gave viewers a taste of what kinds of wild and insane adventures the season holds, but this new one largely focuses on the Doctor dealing with his many, many enemies. She asked the Doctor, though speculation continues about who she is.
America today released a trailer promoting the ninth season of its sci-fi series Doctor Who, debuting September 19, said network officials. “Here, now, this is where your story ends”. The hit time travel series returns with a two-parter, The Magician’s Apprentice and The Witch’s Familiar, written by lead writer and showrunner Steven Moffat and directed by Hettie Macdonald (director of award-winning Doctor Who episode Blink with Carey Mulligan).
As previously announced, Jemma Redgrave and Ingrid Oliver also return for the new series which includes guest appearances from Maisie Williams, Rebecca Front, Rufus Hound, Paul Kaye, Joivan Wade and Sophie Stone.
So not long to wait – and, judging by the reaction, fans are a just teeny bit keen to see Capaldi’s second season stint as the 12th Doctor.
