“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” had a trailer several months ago, but this new trailer offers more story, more action, and the tiniest sneak peek of one of the greatest movie villains of all time.

The Rogue One trailer that Star Wars fans were treated to at Star Wars Celebration has now been released for everyone, premiering during NBC’s coverage of Rio 2016.

As is expected from a trailer of such epic proportions, this one delivers with ample shots of CGI battles, the infamous Death Star and Imperial Star Destroyers, and an insight into the holy Jedha.

The new trailer gives more screen time to Felicity Jones’s Jyn Erso, Forrest Whitacker’s Saw Gerrera and also features the droid K-2SO voiced by Alan Tudyk. Their mission – which will probably be successful – is to steal the plans for the Death Star.

The famous silhouette of Darth Vader appears in the new commercial for Disney’s upcoming film, which arrives in theaters December 16. For example, we know that Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Han Solo are the “heroes” of the story, but they’re super-hero archetypes – and, of course, on the other end of the spectrum, Darth Vader is a super-villain archetype.

It was also recently revealed that Rogue One will finish a mere ten minutes before the 1977 original A New Hope begins, making the two films flawless double-bill fodder.

Rogue One hits theaters on December 14th.

Felicity Jones is the lead star as Jyn Erso.

With Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) and Bodhi Rook (Riz Ahmed) in her motley crew, fans can expect a stand-off – and seemingly an all-out fight – fitting of the Star Wars name.
