Watch the first trailer for Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman was among a host of films to be showcased by Warner bros at Comic-Con, the annual gathering of movie, television and comic book fans. The fact that it was being directed by the talented Patty Jenkins (Monster), also stars Chris Pine and is set in the very seldomly explored by Hollywood WWI era certainly didn’t hurt either.

Wonder Woman was hands down the best part of Batman v Superman despite her limited screen time, so seeing her finally get her own solo adventure is pretty damn exciting.

“I could never have imagined that someone so really like Wonder Woman would show up to do this movie”, gushed Jenkins, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Instead, the trailer gives hints to how Diana embraces her role as the most powerful woman and most feared warrior in the universe as she cuts her way through the Nazi forces.

Gal Gadot also added, “I watched a documentary about the real Princess Diana, and she one said that she leads from her heart and not from her head, and that describes our Diana best”.

Wonder Woman co-stars Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen and Lucy Davis.

It is until an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world.

“She thought she knew everything about the world”. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes-Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash-it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions. She captioned the photo with “A dream come true!”

Warner Bros. releases Wonder Woman on June 2, 2017.
