Watch the Late-Night Hosts Pay Tribute to David Bowie
“Rest in peace, David Bowie”. And after the sun set, TV’s late night hosts took their turn.

O’Brien then shared a montage of the numerous times Bowie stopped by the Late Night, not just as a musical guest, but also as someone eager to kid around with the late-night host in the 12:35 a.m. hour.
“He was a great artist”, Fallon said as he turned away in attempts to hide his emotions.
Additionally, Conan dusted off a past comedy sketch called “David Bowie Secrets” as well as Bowie’s 1997 performance of “Dead Man Walking”.
Like many famous personalities and members of the music industry, Jimmy Fallon took the time to pay tribute and give a message to the late David Bowie. He showed three clips of interviews he’d conducted with Bowie over the years.
Fallon went on to admit he and the Starman hitmaker often traded jokes via email but he’d struggled to come up with something amusing to say during his tribute.
Over at TBS, Conan O’Brien also celebrated Bowie’s humor and talent, describing him as a “phenomenal musician” who was both fun and amusing.
“If you could check your email in space or heaven or wherever you are…you don’t have to email me back”. But in my experience, he was also an incredibly nice person.
Bowie died on Sunday following an 18-month battle with cancer, just days after his 69th birthday and the release of his final album, “Blackstar”. “He was fun. He was always amusing”.

James Corden and “The Late Late Show” paid a more subtle tribute to Bowie and changed the show’s studio marquee to read “We Can Be Heroes”, to honor his song “Heroes”.
