Howard took over George Harrison’s familiar guitar lead, then returned – after Paul “Wix” Wickens grooved through Billy Preston’s original keyboard run – to sing a raucous verse of her own.
Now, McCartney has delivered a solo rendition of the song.
The tune turned into a bit of a call and response between the two towards the end, as McCartney joked, “Brittany, do you want to get back?” referencing Howard’s home state of Alabama multiple times as well.
Fuse called McCartney and Howard’s duet “inspired”. The first day featured performances from Tove Lo, Alabama Shakes, Cold War Kids, Dillon Francis, and the Weeknd. Watch the special collaboration below. McCartney later performed the track at this year’s Grammy Awards with both of them.
According to the story, the musical festival started as a traveling venue in 1991 but in 2005 decided to put its roots down in Chicago.

The Chicago festival will be streaming shows from some of the biggest acts on the bill every day from 2pm to 10pm Central Time, with shows on three different channels so you can pick from simultaneous performances.
