Watch the monologue: Donald Trump hosts SNL, gets heckled…by Larry David!
Republican Candidate Donald Trump was the guest host on Saturday Night Live tonight capping off weeks of protest over his anti-immigration comments.

The cast went through the motions while Trump tweeted insults like: “Cecily Strong is not a nice person”, and “Kate McKinnon was born stupid”.
Before the exchange with David, Trump in his opening monologue acknowledged it was unusual to have a leading presidential candidate hosting the comedy sketch show. “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best”, he said when he announced his presidential bid in June.
It’s become common for those gunning for the White House to make an appearance on Saturday Night Live.
Several groups are protesting Trump’s appearance over “racist and xenophobic language” they say he has used throughout his campaign, targeting Latinos in particular.
Donald Trump’s return to Saturday Night Live was probably one of the most controversial since his lasting hosting stint in 2004.
Monday, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus wrote a statement to SNL saying, “Racism isn’t amusing and Trump’s degrading comments about the Latino community have no place on national television”. The first time was in 2004, when he was still the host of “The Apprentice”.
The network has not responded, and Trump says he believes his appearance will boost viewership of the SNL show Saturday night.
O’REILLY:…They brought to you?
But if you’re Trump or SNL, it’s an absolute no brainer to do this show from an attention and ratings perspective.
A lobby group, DeportRacism.com, had actually promised $US5,000 to any SNL audience member who disrupted the show by yelling that Trump is a racist. But I think that – I think it would provide a few perspective.
“Most of the sketches involving Trump were weak, timid or predictable”.
SANDERS: That would be fantastic.

SANDERS: That would be very hard. The real Rosie isn’t likely to take too kindly to this one.
